Yesterday the children took part in "Bioblitz", a workshop run by Karen from the RSPB.

Karen showed the children some pictures of the sorts of things that can be found in the natural world around us. The children impressed us with their knowledge of insects and birds and learnt about how to find clues to show us which creatures live in our school grounds such as spotting little mounds of earth where ants or other insects live.

We then went outside and had a good look around using binoculars and magnifying glasses. The children spotted many signs of life around the school including worms, woodlouse, ants, spiders and centipedes.
