20th October

Date: 20th Oct 2016 @ 5:04pm

I cannot believe that it is the last week of half-term! It has gone so quickly and I feel like I have really got to know all of the children in my class. We have had lots of fun!

We finished our ABC poems about Tranio and they all sound amazing! As well as this, we have finished our story -woohoo! We have started making book reviews today and the children were very good at articulating the bits that they did (and didn't!) like.

In Maths, just ask the children to subtract. I feel like we have GOT IT! And not just one method... about three or four! Please keep practising addition, subtraction and place value at home if you can. Even though we are moving onto other areas, these will always entwine through our learning and will be important throughout all of Year 4.

After half-term, it is our turn to work with the Widnes Vikings: How exciting! We will be doing a rugby session every Tuesday afternoon, and the children have been offered an invitation to possibly join their after school rugby club!

I really hope that everyone has a really relaxing break. I am going to the Lake District with my two dogs to do lots of walking!

I can't wait to see everybody back on the Tuesday feeling refreshed and ready for our exciting lead up to Christmas.

Our next theme is 'Smoke and Mirrors'. I am really excited about this as I love anything magical! I am going to be watching lots of Penn and Teller over the holidays and Dynamo to get into the theme!

See you all after the week off,

Miss Green.
