Wednesday 4th May

Date: 4th May 2016 @ 4:53pm

Hello everybody!

What a great week we have had in Year 4.

Firstly, a big well done to Daniel for being our star of the week. I have noticed that you have been a great friend and well behaved as always. Keep it up.

This week we have had lots of fun doing character and setting descriptions. We are starting to become more and more confident with slow writing and we are even using this format independently to plan and write. I can see all of your writing improve by the day! We have even started with creating a whole new class chapter in our groups. I can't wait to see it typed up and to show Mr McConnell.

In Maths, we have become more confident with Roman Numerals. You should all be able to show your parents your birthday in them, as well as our group 100 square roman cards! I also loved the inverse operation posters that we made by The Iron Man.

Our PE lessons have been lots of fun, as well as Science. You should show your parents some of your stone age dance moves and why not talk to them about making complete circuits and electrical safety?

Over the next week, we are going to be looking at the properties of shapes and sorting them into venn diagrams, we are also going to be looking at translations and plotting on grids, as well as area and perimeter. In English we will be carrying on with our class chapter then I will be looking at your independent story writing too! I bet they will be great.

I can't wait to see your 16th Day Book feedback and your blog comments. Take a look at the YouTube videos for some extra help with next week's learning!

Have a lovely week, I know that I will with my lovely class!

Miss Green
