Monday 13th June - Cricket Competition

Date: 13th Jun 2016 @ 4:01pm

Today, our Year 5 boys attended the Widnes Cricket Competition at Widnes Cricket Club. There were 16 schools in total with 4 groups of 4. Every school in each group played each other and the winners of each group went on to the semi final.

All Saints played brilliantly and showed just how hard they have been working over the last few weeks with our coaches, Peter and Marcus. They won their first game against Lunts Heath. In their second game, they lost to Moorfield who went on into the final of the competition and remained unbeaten! The boys won their final game against Simms Cross.

It was an excellent day with all of the children showing excellent team work, fair play, competitiveness and a positive attitude. I would like to say thank you and well done to all the boys involved and also to the children who remained at school but have been a massive help in getting our team ready for the competition. It was a Year 5 and 6 competition and I know that if we continue working on our cricket skills, we will have another excellent chance next year!

Well done boys!
